“This is a poem from the heart
Something I wanted to say from the start.
I walked in with my beige and blue
Grabbed a chair and sat next to you.
You couldn't hear some words I said
But you heard with your heart and into your head.
We talked about the future and the past
Knowing the day was short but we made it last.
But when I came back on the day the week ends
I never ever saw you again.”

Intergenerational
Through its Myrna Brind Intergenerational Project, NetworkArts
literally bridges the ages by partnering students
with
seniors.
These
projects
provide opportunities
for new and meaningful exchanges among children and seniors as students
explore novel concepts like technological highlights of the last century
or how to create nursing homes with heart. The finale consists of the
students and seniors working together to make a lasting impression in
the form of a mosaic. Recent topics include the passing millennium, role
models, the Quilt Project, movie memories, Philadelphia's musical
heritage and The Tree of Life.
Tour some of the magnificent mosaics created from this and other programs.
